Challenge
For over 140 years, the German Association for Public and Private Welfare has been the common forum for all stakeholders in social policy, social law and social work. The client was faced with the challenge that the previous website did not reflect the expertise of the DV in an appealing way and no longer met the changing needs of their target groups.
Solution
First, Uhura conceptualized, designed and developed a modern and consistent look & feel for the relaunch. In order to maximize usability, a particular focus was placed on optimizing the UI elements.
Improving the information architecture was just as important: Through better weighting and structuring of content, optimized user flows and clear formatting, the services and diverse work and offerings of the DV are now more quickly and more clearly recognizable. The thematic portal provides comprehensive information on social policy and legal issues and provides expertise and practical relevance.
The website now also offers concrete information and better marketing opportunities for studies, technical reports and events. In addition, it aims to attract and retain members, with a focus on the improved member portal. In addition to numerous other services, the redesigned shop also offers a significantly more user-friendly purchase process.
