Social media communication for ILA 2022 aerospace exhibition

The ILA 2022 International Aerospace Exhibition — digital, hybrid and on-site for the first time in four years — was aimed at trade visitors and was the meeting place for international industry (OEMs, suppliers, startups), politics, armed forces, research and science.

Challenge

With a focus on innovation, new technologies and sustainability, it covers the entire spectrum of the industry: Aviation, Space, Defense & Support. For the 2022 edition, the organizers, the German Aerospace Industries Association and Messe Berlin, were looking for a social media agency that would strategically prepare and communicate the topics and scope of the event in a visually appealing and target group-oriented manner for the public.

Solution

For ILA, Uhura first developed suitable strategic routes for communicating the brand and translated the relevant topics into suitable social media content for the specialist audience (B2B) and visitors (B2C).

The various target groups were addressed in the run-up to the ILA with a balanced mix of educational content on aerospace, concise testimonials, event updates and announcements.

During the trade fair, the Uhura team accompanied the various series of events (talk and stage formats, air show and exhibition) and carried out intensive community management on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin.
