Data protection is particularly important to us. No sharing of your data

We do not share your personal information with third parties. Only the service partners required to process your orders will receive your address. In these cases, the transfer is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR); the scope of the transferred data is limited to the minimum required.

Information, correction, blocking and deletion of your data

Within the framework of the EU GDPR, you have a right to information and a right to correct, block and delete your stored data. If deletion is precluded by statutory, contractual or commercial or tax law retention periods or other legally enshrined reasons, your data can only be blocked instead of deletion.

The controller processes and stores personal data of the data subject only for the period necessary to achieve the storage purpose or if this has been provided for by the European legislator of directives and regulations or another legislator in laws or regulations to which the controller is subject. If the storage purpose ceases to apply or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislator of directives and regulations or another competent legislator expires, the personal data will be blocked or deleted routinely and in accordance with legal requirements.

Data protection laws

Personal data is collected and stored exclusively within the framework of the legal provisions of the EU GDPR and the Information and Teleservices Data Protection Act (TDDSG).

SSL encryption (HTTPS protocol)

In order to protect your transmitted data in the best possible way, this website uses SSL encryption. You can recognize such encrypted connections by the prefix “https://” in the address bar of your browser. Unencrypted pages are marked with “http://”. All data that you submit to this website — such as when making inquiries or logins — cannot be read by third parties thanks to SSL encryption.

Access data

The website operator collects data about accesses to the site and stores them as “server log files”. The following data is logged in this way:

  • Site visited
  • Time at time of access
  • Amount of data sent in bytes
  • Source/reference from which you came to the page
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used

The data collected is only used for statistical evaluations and to protect the website with the legal basis of legitimate interest under Article 6 GDPR. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files retrospectively should concrete evidence of illegal use. The “server log files” are automatically deleted 14 days after creation and are in no way passed on to third parties.

Cookies store information that is transferred from our or third-party provider web servers to users' browsers. Our use of cookies, for example for range measurement, has already been informed above.

Cookies can be deactivated in the system settings of browsers. It is also possible to view our website with the exclusion of cookies. Cookies that have already been saved can be deleted in the browser's system settings. However, excluding cookies may restrict the functionality of our website.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address, which, however, is anonymized using the _anonymizeIp () method so that you can no longer be assigned to a connection) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity for website operators and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Google will never connect your IP address with other data from Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

In the cookie settings, you can turn on or off the use of Google Analytics. The legal basis is therefore the user's consent. Your data is processed by Google Ltd., for the purpose of statistical evaluation. Your anonymized data is stored for 24 months.

Recaptcha

This website uses “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”). The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). reCAPTCHA is intended to check whether data is entered on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) by a person or by an automated program. To this end, reCAPTCHA analyses the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as the website visitor enters the website. For analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor spent on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses run completely in the background. Website visitors are not notified that an analysis is taking place.

Data processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting its web offerings from abusive automated spying and against SPAM. Newsletters about Mailchimp

The newsletter and reports are sent using “MailChimp”, a newsletter delivery platform from the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.

The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in this notice, are stored on MailChimp's servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate newsletters on our behalf. According to its own information, MailChimp can also use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the delivery and presentation of newsletters or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass it on to third parties.

We rely on MailChimp's reliability and IT and data security. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and is therefore committed to complying with EU data protection requirements. We have also concluded a “data processing agreement” with MailChimp. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect our users' data, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its privacy policy and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. You can view MailChimp's privacy policy here.

Content of the newsletter

We send newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications containing promotional information (hereinafter “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipients or legal permission. If the content of the newsletter is specifically described as part of a subscription to the newsletter, they are decisive for the consent of the users. In addition, our newsletters contain information about the digital economy and all its branches (this may include in particular references to articles, advertisements, white papers or online presences).

Double opt-in and logging

Registration for our newsletter takes place in a so-called double opt-in process. This means that after registration, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can log in with foreign email addresses. Subscriptions to the newsletter are logged in order to be able to prove the registration process in accordance with legal requirements. This includes saving the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with MailChimp are also logged. To sign up for the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your email address.

Statistical collection and analyses

The newsletters contain a so-called “web beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval, are first collected. This information is used to technically improve the services based on technical data or target groups and their reading behavior based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.

Statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is neither our aim nor that of MailChimp to observe individual users. The evaluations are much more useful for us to recognize the reading habits of our users and to adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

Online access and data management

There are cases where we direct newsletter recipients to MailChimp's websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link with which newsletter recipients can access the newsletters online (e.g. in case of display problems in the email program). Newsletter recipients can also correct their data, such as the email address, retrospectively. MailChimp's privacy policy is also only available on their website.

In this context, we would like to point out that cookies are used on MailChimp's websites and therefore personal data is processed by MailChimp, its partners and service providers used (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. For more information, please see MailChimp's privacy policy. We would also like to point out the options for objecting to the collection of data for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area)

Termination/Withdrawal

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. At the same time, your consent to its sending via MailChimp and the statistical analyses expire. Unfortunately, it is not possible to cancel the shipment via MailChimp or the statistical evaluation separately. A link to cancel the newsletter can be found at the end of each newsletter.

Contact form

Due to legal regulations, this website contains information that enables quick electronic contact with our company and direct communication with us, which also includes a general address of the so-called electronic mail (e-mail address). We also offer you the option of giving us your telephone number so that we can call you back. If a data subject contacts the person responsible for processing by e-mail or via a contact form or requests a call back from us, the personal data (e-mail, telephone number) provided by the data subject will automatically be sent to a person responsible. Such personal data provided voluntarily by a data subject to the controller is stored exclusively for the purpose of processing or contacting the data subject. There is no transfer of this personal data to third parties.

Data protection in applications and during the application process

The person responsible for processing collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of processing the application process. Processing can also be carried out electronically. This is particularly the case if an applicant submits corresponding application documents electronically, for example by e-mail or via a web form on the website, to the person responsible for processing. If the person responsible for processing concludes an employment contract with an applicant, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with legal requirements. If the person responsible for processing does not conclude an employment contract with the applicant, the application documents will be automatically deleted two months after notification of the rejection decision, provided that deletion does not conflict with any other legitimate interests of the controller. Other legitimate interest in this sense is, for example, a burden of proof in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

Pointers

As the controller, the Uhura Digital GmbH has implemented numerous technical and organizational measures to ensure the most complete protection of personal data processed through this website.

However, Internet-based data transmissions can generally have security gaps, meaning that absolute protection cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, every data subject is free to transfer personal data to us by alternative means, for example by telephone.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change the privacy policy in order to adapt it to changing legal situations or to changes in the service or data processing.

Users are therefore asked to regularly inform themselves about the content.
