On behalf of Berlin Partner für Wirtschaft GmbH, Uhura developed and implemented the brand, website and content for Smart City Berlin, which went online in mid-April at www.smart-city-berlin.de.
In the first step, together with Berlin Partner for Economy GmbH, who Berlin Senate Chancellery, who Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises as well as the stakeholders of the network and various research institutions, national companies and startups, develop, define and summarize the brand strategy and brand design in a brand manual.
Based on the specifications, Uhura developed the online platform www.smart-city-berlin.de. The website contains comprehensive information on the various smart city projects, products and news from Berlin, as well as an event calendar with all relevant events on the topic. The funding overview provides an insight into all current funding programs — not only locally, but also nationally and internationally. In addition, a project map was developed, on which interested parties can get a comprehensive overview of implemented smart city activities in Berlin in the constantly growing project map.
The smart city network, consisting of research institutions, companies, startups, politics and administration, is made visible in the network overview with its own profiles and contacts, working groups and network managers. Stakeholders also have the opportunity to submit their own news and events and exchange information via the integrated extranet. The extranet thus provides an effective communication platform for the network's approximately 150 partners.
The Uhura editorial team researched and produced 60 specialist articles and projects for the website and designed and produced 2D animations, video portraits and other visual content on the topic of Smart City Berlin.
“We are proud to have developed and made visible the complex topic of “Smart City” for Berlin and together with the City of Berlin. There are many innovative smart city approaches in Berlin and new ones are being added every day. With the website www.smart-city-berlin.de For the first time, Berliners and experts will have the opportunity to follow developments in their city on a daily basis and actively participate in them. The extranet also offers the opportunity to connect research, companies and administration in one place and make use of potential synergies to further develop Berlin together towards a “smart city,” says managing director and project manager Margarita Kozakiewicz.
