The Workers' Welfare Association (AWO) is one of the six leading non-governmental welfare organizations in Germany and stands for freedom, equality, justice, solidarity and tolerance. As an independent and autonomous membership association, AWO is committed to a just and democratic society based on solidarity.

Uhura conceived, designed and developed a modern, responsive website for AWO Bundesverband e. V.. The focus was on optimized user friendliness (usability and accessibility) and an improved user experience.

The UX design optimizes page structure and navigation, and thanks to the revision of content types and thematic focuses, both front-end and back-end users can find their way around much more easily.

Specially designed and clearly structured landing pages for different audiences, such as help seekers, volunteers, and the press, ensure that external users can quickly and easily access the information they need. From AWO's services and advice to projects and programs, all content is now clearly and quickly accessible.

The multi-stage design and development process for the website relaunch included internal testing during the design phase, the implementation of the corporate website in several development sprints, and also integrated a four-digit page content migration.
